Dale Snowthorne is a recurring NPC in Rally and the father of Juniper Snowthorne. At the beginning of the campaign, he has already been dead for several years.

Service to the Agra Wardens[]
Dale was a prominent warden of Agravar. In his capacity as warden, he reported to Commander Nasir Antoni. However, as a clever strategist and orator, he held considerable political power, becoming the "Right Hand and Sword" of the Lord Governor, alongside his best friend Isaac Axedrummer, the Lord Governor's "Left Hand and Shield."
As a Revolutionary[]
At some point in his career, Dale began a relationship with Kataryn, a royal consort and mother of the Lord Governor's sole heir. It is implied that Kataryn's broad-mindedness and progressive politics slowly change Dale's outlook on his job and its effects on the community. At some point, it is uncovered that he has been conspiring with Kataryn to overthrow the Lord Governor. The Lord Governor demands that Isaac behead Dale. Instead, Isaac beheads the Lord Governor, and he and Dale and Kataryn flee to the north.
Rally[]
At the time of Rally's founding, Dale became its de facto leader, although it is implied that Kataryn makes many of the tactical decisions. He is remembered as a fair and firm leader, despite many flashbacks revealing apprehension, fear, and poor judgement. At some point after his wife's disappearance and before the events of the campaign, he dies under circumstances not yet addressed.
